The Tomos Streetmate – 50cc Moped
The Tomos Streetmate www.LanceCampeau.com It’s 50cc’s of chrome plated, low cost coolness. Take a detailed look at the Tomos Streetmate’s ups and downs… Mine gets roughly 85 MPG and it costs about one gallon to fill her up. Here it is shown with some add on items… -Formotion analog clock -Digital cycling computer -Rear mount storage box (heeters.com) -aftermarket muffler (Tecno Bullet). The digital speedo reads in km/h. Now, before the YouTube “peanut gallery” posts their usual stupidity please note… -I already know my sunglasses are ugly. -I also know if I lost a few pounds my shocks would function better. www.LanceCampeau.com www.tomosmopeds.org

Btw tomos is Slovenian and is not east Europe product. Maybe is not so good as other mopeds but is good for fun driving.
Greetings from Slovenia!

LOL, the storage bin has almost twice the capacity of the actual fuel tank that’s inside the frame. Time to do some plumbing for a ‘long range’ configuration?
The Streetmate’s a great bike, especially for short distances in town when you don’t want to take your car (gas cost, parking) and you only want to carry lunch and a laptop to work.
If you want a similar bike with gears, you could get a Suzuki ZR-50 if you can find it, or a Honda Dax or Monkey if that’s your thing.

Oh, and for the plastic matter: The stuff is fragile, and the bike is seriously prone to fall over. The center stand keeps the thing top heavy, and I had my Revival fall over ALL OF THE TIME.
I’ve got the Tecno exhaust bolted on it as well. It sounds a lot better than the stock exhaust and gives it a bit more top speed. The engine is a two-stroke, so be sure to stock up on some spare oil as well as fueling up on gas.

@Cab94x
Italian bike good quality?? Hahaha. In all Swedish, German, British and American magazines the long time tests of Italian bikes always lead to the usual complaint of the tacky build quality of Italian bikes.
French bikes?? Such as what???
Buy Japanese if you are so keen on quality, the only European quality is from Germany forget all the rest.

my friend in London owns an expensive apartment in Notting Hill London, owns his own design studio and makes good money. He is almost 40, and guess what he drives a Vespa scooter. Who needs a car in London?
