Isle of Man TT Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini
Valentino Rossi and Giacomo Agostini do a historic lap together in the 2009 Isle of Man TT. This was Rossi’s first ever TT, he was flown over to the island by Dainese!

No offence, but, i personally think it was a waste of money whatever was paid to Rossi to attend the TT. That appearance money should have been put into the prize money pool for the guys and girls who really deserve it, the competitors. There is too much of this going on these days at the TT, and over here at the NW 200. Those guys risk nothing.

I agree mate.
It’s one thing to appear but totally another to actually race on the TT circuit
TT racers are on another level and make Moto GP look like a childs game…

TOSSER!!! Get back on ya bloody tricycle you child.. Have ya ever raced? Nope didnt think so.. The TT needs banning if anything. When talented riders like Jefferies kill them selfs how can you say TT riders are another level… Maybe the Brain dead level eh. Moto GP is far safer. faster and better organized and you can see alot more. Also if you wanna put ya trust in Marshalls that aint got a clue then go for it. just becareful on ya little tricycle..

Look…lol…I shall explain myself AGAIN! Your just commenting because someone knocked your chum Rossi. The issue many of us have is with Rossi being paid lots of money to prance around the TT track at 30 Mph
This you cannot deny. Yes, MotoGP is safer and we all have our preferances as to what we want to watch but you don’t get TT riders being paid lots of money to prance around the GP tracks? lol
That money should of gone into the TT kitty. I ride the GSXR 1000 K7 btw :0

Lol with respect…we don’t want to see ‘safe’ racing. We want to see road racing where the passion for racing is still there and the ridrs are not just taking part for the GP money.
TT = passions. GP = spoilt kids lol.
I would love to have a go on the GP circuit but I would shit myself on the TT track and this is why we respect them, and want to see them….

I just dont get it. “You dont want to see safe racing, thats a bit sadist innit, Lets get one thing straight, The TT is not racing. its a bunch of admittedly extreamly talented riders racing against a damn clock?? Not 20/25 riders racing against themselves.

The TT is bloody dangerous, and with the speeds these modern day bike do is too dangerous. rather hit a hay bail than a fooookin wall or lamp post. all for what. racing a damn clock.Yihoo…!! you have a gixxer K7.?? am i supposed to be impressed. Ive got a New R1 and thats shit too, I raced for 7 years Internationally and race instruct at circuits around the uk and europe, so dont tell me whats safe and whats not,

OK…I only told you I had a Gixxer thou as you were being silly by telling me to go back to my tricycle. Believe me..I have rode/owned many bikes…My favourite was the GSXR 750 funny enough. I’m currently thinking of replacing my Gix with the R1 or getting another 750. The reason why we don’t wanna see safe is because anybody can do that as you have just illustrated. This is the same reason why people go to see stuntman
Danger is fun to watch…without danger you take away the excitement.

Continued….@MrSteve2714740
I’m not disputing that the TT is damgerous mate…I am saying that this is what seperates it from motoGP/WSB.
As for Beckham…don’t get me started on footie players…I agree with you there although I am not really into domestic footie and I was talking of bike racing.
The TT goes back around a 100 years or so and is very prestigious. It’s something we must cherish as it us unique in the world.

OK Matey. Debate finished….. Does this mean we are now pals…? lol
Right……. You keep enjoying the TT and let me enjoy the circuits. Just for the record…. if you dont know…. the TT Lads get paid alot more than you think they do. so dont think for one minute they are hard done too. Only the top lads earn big money and thats the same for circuit racers too. BTW The K7 is about the best thou Suzuki did so dont sell her…lol Take care. Steve.

All in good fun :0
Interesting as I thought they were paid pittance compared to other types like WSB but there goes.
Yeah I checked the K9 but I preffer the look of the K7/K8.
You to mate

K7/8 is a mans bike, K9 has gone a bit educational and posseses a small amout of a brain where as yours needs to be taken by the scruff of the neck and beaten senceless if ya know what i mean. anyway. Gixxer29 enjoy ya bike

and next time when ya at the TT and you see John McGs 200k Motorhome and all his toys, then look at all the other top guys in the paddock in there £250K Winibago’s think to yourself.”Mmmm Bastard,,, Steve was right, they aint bad paid after all” LOL In fairness to you… The TT is a hell of an event, its just a shame so many great guys loose there life there, i know it all adds to the excitement but even us hardened bikers get upset loosing a fellow racer. Cheers Steve

motorcycles should be bannded. They pollute more cars and are always getting in accidents.

wrote on 18 April 2010 at 8:36
@jpmorgan187 Actually, they pollute less than cars and are better for the road. In terms of accidents, 70% of motorcycle accidents are caused by people in cars that are driving while texting on the phone, drinking coffee, putting on makeup and sometime even reading the newspaper. Automobiles and motorcycles should not be banned from the road, shitty drivers are the ones thhat should be banned from the road, or even the gene pool.
